Months, 2 Weeks, 1 Day, 1 WORD!
Oh what a beautiful morning!
Momma and Daddy have been getting ready for what they call Christmas. I’m not
really sure what it is exactly yet, but it’s got them all excited! Daddy
brought in a big tree and put it in the living room, but he won’t let me eat
it. Momma and Daddy have been playing with a bunch of stuff and wrapping it in
neat colored paper that looks really yummy, but they won’t let me eat that
either. A few weeks ago Momma and Daddy introduced me to O’s and they are my
favorite thing to eat, but everything else is fun to try to eat, at least I
think so anyway. They tell me I’ll really like this Christmas thing that’s
happening next Monday. I just wonder if it will taste good.
While Momma and Daddy have been busy, I’ve been practicing my sounds, Oh’s and
Ah’s and other fun ones, plus practicing that volume thing. his past week, I’ve
really been working on my Ba and Ma sounds, sometimes no sound actually makes it
out, but I practice a lot.
This morning I was playing with Momma and Daddy in bed. I was smiling and
playing which I like to do so much. And I was playing on one of my very
favorite toys, Mommy JungleGym. So I looked at Momma and said, “Momma”.
Momma’s eyes got REALLY big, or I’m pretty sure they did, Daddy hadn’t turned on
the light yet. Then Momma reached out and touched Daddy and asked if he heard
that. Daddy said, yes, he’d heard it too. Momma then asked me to say Momma
again, so I did. Momma got teary eyed, so I stopped, I didn’t want to get her
too excited you know.
I figured since this Christmas thing is supposed to be pretty special, I thought
I’d join in on the fun. No Momma and Daddy will just have to wait to see how
long it takes me to say it again. Then again, I must just start calling
everything Momma for a while. I’ll start practicing Daddy now. The look on
Momma’s face was pretty neat, so I wonder if I can make Daddy have the same
look.
