November 18th, 2006 – 8 Months!
Wow! Talk about busy!! I've been running Momma &
Daddy ragged!
Back in September, on the 14th, my Grammy and Grampy came down again
from Seattle to see me. I heard Momma and Daddy talking about
how I wasn't crawling yet. So when we got home from the
airport, I turned them into liars and started commando (arms only)
crawling! Got to keep the parents on their toes, ya know.
I've been getting used to this whole food thing. On September
28th, I was actually hungry for the stuff! I 'baby birded' the
first time! Also, Momma and Daddy and I went out to a
restaurant, and I got to sit in a highchair and eat with them.
It was also the first time I ate all 3 meals in one day!
I have this crawling thing down so well that on October 29th, I
really started crawling. I'm still on my tummy, but I use my
arms and my legs now!
I had my first Halloween!!! It was ok, but I think I know how
my "uncle" Snake feels when Grandma puts him in a sweater now.
("Uncle" Snake is my Momma's Momma's Dog.)
My Nana and Pops visit me from Washington, D.C in November, it was
great to get to meet them! I've heard so much about my Pops,
you see I'm named after my Daddy, and my Daddy is named after my
Pops! We had a lot of fun! I can't wait to see them
again.
Then I had another first, which wasn't something I was looking
forward to as much. On Tuesday, November 14th, I got really
sick for the first time. It was a cold and let me tell you, I
was just a big snot factory! I'm still a little snotty, and my
nose is running too!
Then today, I used a form of sign language with Momma and Daddy for
the first time. When I was done with dinner tonight, I put my
hands up and taught Momma and Daddy the "Get me out of this
highchair!" sign.
Oh, and I don't know what day it happened, but I laugh and giggle
now! It's so much fun.
