Wednesday, June 14th, 2006 – It can't be teeth yet!

So, I'm only 3 months and a week old, way too early for teething, right?? Well I'm not so sure.  From the research Momma and Daddy have  done, a baby can cut a tooth anywhere from 3 months on.  I slept fine on Sunday night, but Monday was not a good baby day.  I was fussy and it was hard for Daddy to comfort me.  I also didn't eat much at all.  Daddy even called Momma and had her come home from work a little early.  When Momma got home from her play date with her co-workers, I eat for a good while and then napped just for a while.  I woke up early from my nap and was fussy off and on until I went down for the night.  I've been drooling a lot more and I've been chewing on my hands, even preferring my hands over my binky (that's my pacifier) on occasion.

Momma looked at my gums and you can see the outline of my two lower incisors on the front of my gum and there is a little bit of a bugle above them on the top of my gum. She couldn't look at them for very long because I was gnawing on her fingers as soon as they got near my mouth!  I even mentioned in my posting from last week that I eat my hands all the time.  The picture from that page is the most common view you get of me now, hands in mouth.

My Grandma Watson was over on Tuesday, she looks and she says she thinks I'm probably teething too.  Today was a little better on the fussy factor.  Momma worked from home today and I was a nursing fiend.  I didn't nap much today.  Anytime Daddy went to put me in my crib or the pack 'n play, I'd wake.  We'll see what the future holds, I know there are teeth in it, but we may be taking bets as to sooner than later!
