Tuesday, May 9th, 2006 – 9 weeks old and adventure time!
Today Momma, Daddy and I had an adventure!
We went out to a place called UCSD, that's the University of
California San Diego. It's the first time I've
been to college. :) We met a really nice lady named
Diane and she played with me for about an hour. Momma and
Daddy explained that I'm participating in an Infant Vision Study.
All I know is that I got to look at a neat rotating ball and flashy
lights on a monitor while Miss Diane had me in a Baby Bjorn and
played with me. Momma explained that there was a camera that
was monitoring my eye movements to determine were I was looking.
Daddy got to play with the keyboard to help Miss Diane and Momma was
there to oversee things and kiss me and coo at me and feed me when I
stopped having fun. At one point, Momma and Daddy both put on
little cow puppets on their hands and acted silly, I liked that
part. We got through about 40 tests before our time was
up, Miss Diane said that was great performance for a 2 month old.
I suspect she says that to all the babies, but I'll still take it as
the compliment she meant it to be. We'll go back on Thursday and
Friday to play with Miss Diane again. Then we'll go back about
once a month assuming I'm still having fun. I'll keep you
posted on that.
We did get a cool flying from Miss Diane that explained about baby's

vision is better than Momma's and Daddy's. Pretty neat, eh?
After that I napped and had a great afternoon until my Godparents
Lura and Derek came by. We visited for a bit and Derek held me
for a while and then we went out to dinner. I don't remember
the dinner part, I mostly slept, but the adults had fun!
I do have to apologize for not having new pictures up. The
camera broke again and Momma and Daddy have it in to be fixed.
We should get it back in a week or so. You'll just have to
wait to see new pictures my handsome mug for a while. :)
