Tuesday, April 18th, 2006 – Six Weeks Old!
What a whirlwind these last few
weeks! Can you believe it, today, I'm 6 weeks old! Woo Hoo!!
I'm starting to figure out a use
for that thing my parents call a thumb. Here I am on the 11th... Not as good
as Momma, but better than my Soothie pacifier, and besides, and although I can't
always find my thumb yet, it isn't really lost either! :)
Here's a photo taken on Saturday,
April 15th. It was right after I was Baptized.

That's 4 generations in the picture! Pretty neat huh?
Momma was telling me about how
special this day was to all of us. For me, of course the best part is that I
was Baptized. So of the things that make is really super special:

I got to share it with 3 older generations of the
Watson clan.

One of my Godmothers, Lura, handmade this
incredible silk gown for me. She also make the under tunic with Italian lace
at the bottom that has little crosses in it. Since neither Momma or Daddy has
a Christening or Baptism Gown, Lura made this for us. Hopefully I’ll have a
little brother or sister someday and they will be baptized in this too. It's
our newest family heirloom. Here's a picture of me, my parents, and my
Godparents Lura on the right and Derek on the left.
My other Godfather Russell (I'll
get pictures of him and his wife, Molly, my other Godmother up soon) is not only
my Godfather, but also a Priest, so Father Russell was the celebrant of my
baptism. Momma told me that he also performed Momma and Daddy's marriage, but I
wasn't around to remember that.
My baptism was on Saturday, April
15th, and on Easter Sunday, April 16th, Momma and Daddy celebrated their one
year wedding anniversary. What a year we've all had! Momma said it was the
best bookends to a year she's ever had.
