No baby yet. I definitely have a
much heavier feeling in my pelvis, but no labor yet. Hurry up and wait, we
could have a baby anytime!
So, just when did I marry Bob Vila? I recall
marrying Bob Vence last April. However, sometime in the nearly 11 months
since then, he’s morphed into this super sexy handyman. As I recall, he’d
never used a router until last year, and just last weekend, while on a play
date with my Dad to install our new front door, he conveniently broke my
router so he could go buy a new one. Here’s our new door.

He’d also not done electrical or major
plumbing and he’s already rewired our bathroom, installed kitchen ceiling fans
and completely replaced the main sewer drain for both bathrooms. Right now,
he’s out in the front yard with a ditch witch preparing to install our new
whole house instant hot water heater tomorrow.

The stucco and windows are done on the house
and he’s making great progress pulling together the last of the outside
stuff. We have a landscaper coming to install an irrigation system and sod
starting next week. If this doesn’t make the dogs much happier, it will
certainly make ME much happier. I couldn’t love our little monsters more, but
I would rather they not turn into dirt dogs 30 minutes after they get a bath.
With the baby coming, I just don’t want them tracking in all the dirt
anymore.

Eisa is doing better, her foot certainly
doesn’t seem to bother her and she’s not been biting at her bandage anymore.
She should get her check up next week sometime.
I’ve been keeping busy doing what little bit
Bob allows me to. I know it’s because he loves me, but what a Rest Nazi he
can be!! Did you drink your water? Roll over on your left side. Don’t touch
that, I’ll move it! I’m sure it’s a frustrating for me that I want to do
things and can’t as it is for him for me to try to do things he thinks I
shouldn’t.
The nursery should be painted by
Monday. Bob’s done all the hard stuff, getting the wallpaper off, etc.
Originally I thought we would do this cool cloud effect on the walls and
ceiling. After all, it’s a perfect tie in to the Noah’s Ark theme (or as
close to a theme as we have) that we’re doing. Most of the walls in the
nursery were already a blue, except of course the for the one that was
paneled. Of course, if I had the choice, I would have covered up that ugly
wall paper too! It was fuzzy, yes, fuzzy! *shiver* Thanks God the big
strong man made it go away! We’re on our second coat of high hide primer and
it still needs a third. Anyhoo, we decided that it would be just too much
blue if we did clouds, so we went with a nice pale (not exactly pastel) yellow
for above the border and a green for below. I’ll post photos soon.

Ok, I’m off to the couch to
rest. Bob just turned off the ditch witch, so he’ll be in here any minute
wanting to know why I’m not resting.
