Smacks for Bob & thank God for front loading washing
machines!
Yesterday my father came over and helped Bob install our
new front door. (I’ll get pics up soon.) It looks great! So while the boys
were out breaking my power tools (Bob swears he didn’t mean to break my
router, it just died on its own and of course he HAD to go buy a new one.) I
was putting the finish touches on The List of stuff to put in "The Bag":
-
Warm socks (2 to 3 pair)
-
Slippers
-
Smacks for Bob
Yep, I’m planning on packing smacks for Bob! So as the
contractions get really bad, I can just ask him to get one out of bag for me.
:) That should save some of my time and energy, right? Ok, ok, we’ll pack
snacks for him instead! (With maybe just one or two smacks in reserve?)
Last night I started washing all the baby clothes. Bob
and I were again astounded by the generosity of all our friends and family!
It’s amazing how many baby clothes we have! Onsies, sleepers, socks (too
cute!), hats, blankets, diapers, (bumGenius! Cloth) you name it, and we got
lots of it! As I was loading the washing machine I realized that I had no
hope of doing laundry without the front loading washer and dryer we have. I
was also extra thankful for the additional height of the platform that Bob and
I build as well as the pedestal drawer under each machine. They are just at
the perfect height so I don’t have to bend at all, I can just reach right in
to both the washer and dryer! Since I woke up this morning at about 4 am with
little contractions and decided to finish the laundry, I’m sure Bob is
thankful that I can do laundry without his help too!
